Indrahar Pass

 Indrahar Pass Trek | Himachal Pradesh | Detailed Itinerary 

Indrahar pass is a mountain pass located between Kangra and Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. This trek has been followed since centuries by Gaddi Shepherds who commute between Kangra and Chamba with their flock. The pass trail goes through Triund, Laka got and Lahesh caves which are also very famous treks and loved by the trekking community.  

The trek has the same route as that of Triund top and starts from Galu. Triund is a very famous trek and is the first time trek for most trekking lovers. 

Base Location –   Mcleodganj , Dharamshala

Max Altitude – 14245 ft. 

Travel to base –   

The nearest Airport is Kangra. From Kangra you can easily find local buses and Taxis till Mcleodganj. 

Nearest railway station is Pathankot from where you can take a local bus till Kangra or Dharamshala. If you have additional time you can also board the Kangra train which is a narrow gauge line which goes through mesmerizing paths. 

Travel by bus is available till Mcleodganj which is well connected by Govt as well as a lot of Volvo buses coming everyday from Delhi. 

Itinerary :- 

Day 1 – Mcleodganj to Snow Line cafe

Trek will start from Mcleodganj to Triund for day 1. Total trek distance is 9 KM. Trek is a bit challenging at a few points and is very steep for the last 1 KM. Once you will reach Triund you can enjoy the beauty of Triund. We will hike furter to Snow line cafe and camp here for the night and start our journey next day. 

Day 2 – Snow Line to Laka Got 

Today we will start hiking toward the Indrahar pass. We will start our journey towards Laka Got which is around 5 KM from Snowline cafe. Once reaching laka got we will camp for the night. 

Day 3 – Laka Got to Indrahar pass and back to Laka Got

We will start our final journey towards Indrahar Pass. Once we reach Indrahar we will start ascending back to Laka Got. We camp here for the day. 

Day 4 – Laka Got to Macleodganj

Trek back towards the Macleodganj. Trek will end at Mcledodganj.
